Viewing statistics as technology, we can use STS-theory to analyze the relations between scientific and technological practices and the state. Do statistical methods influence content and meaning of acts of government?

To find answers to this we will establish ways of categorizing acts of statistics, and study practices to be observed and meanings as they are produced, and investegate how and if these meanings and practices are connected to statistics technologies.
