Jennifer L. BaileyPhD, Associate Professor of Political SciencePh.D, M.A., International Studies, Graduate School of International Studies, University of Denver; M.A., Government, Georgetown University and B.A., Foreign Affairs, University of Virginia. Fields of interest are comparative and international politics (with an emphasis on environmental topics, including fisheries issues), US politics and qualitative methodology. Bailey is currently working on a project examining how varying forms of democratic institutions impact political culture in the United States and Norway. The study does this by investigating the ways US and Norwegian advocacy and interest groups have framed the issue of commercial whaling over time. Other topics of current interest are US civil society and political culture more broadly conceived. Bailey has also been a visiting scholar at the School of Public and International Policy at George Mason University and the Center for Advanced Studies in Oslo.
