Dear Colleagues,

We have now started to publish the Proceedings of the 16th International Conference of Ethiopian Studies and you will find the first few papers below. The papers can be referred to by the reference on the top of the first page. In addition to the internet publication, we shall print a few copies for documentation purposes. The papers will be identical in all respects.

Almost all submitted papers have now been edited and we are waiting for responses from the respective authors. For the time being, we give priority to editing and publishing the papers, but we shall later provide proper tables of content, index etc. Please note that only those who submitted a paper for publication after the conference, and in an editable form, will be included. If you expect your paper to be included, but have not heard from us, please contact us.

In addition to the Proceedings, some papers were submitted for publication on Harrassowitz Verlag. This is a separate process from the Proceedings, but also this now well advanced.
